Everything began in the morning, everyone was very excited, but we were trying to control ourselves because we were in for a full day, maybe a once in a lifetime day that we had to enjoy to the fullest!

Seeing ourselves in Bucharest, we have forgotten the fatigue and headed towards the Palace of Parliament which I can modestly refer to as a "colossal masterpiece", maybe a description by words or by pictures can't compare to the actual feeling that you get when you see that amazing building. After we let our eyes wander through the huge palace we went to the U.S. Ambassador's house.

We arrived there even more excited because we had the opportunity to chat and exchange ideas in his mother tongue which was new for us. We got the chance to talk to his wife, an intelligent lady with a good sense of humor who made us feel welcome. As nothing lasts forever, we had to take our leave knowing that we were welcome to come again.

So we headed to our final destination, the one we looked forward to the most, Cotroceni. As soon as we got to the place where the reception took place, we started to see familiar faces, not the kind you see on your walk to school, but public figures, people who appear on television everyday, who are known by the entire country and more. We had the chance to meet Mrs. Elena Udrea, Mrs. Maria Basescu and the one we wanted to meet the most, Mr. Traian Basescu.

Even though these personalities didn't have much time for us, we enjoyed the fact that we got a picture with them and we were left with a pleasant memory.

It was a special day, and I repeat, maybe a once in a lifetime opportunity, a truly interesting but tiresome day, it was new and exciting.

That is what I would refer to as an unforgettable day.
