When you have to choose between The Palace of Parliament, Mr. Mark Taplin's house (U.S. Embassy DCM) and Cotroceni, you would definitely become embarrassed and ask: "Can't I pick all three?"
Our joy came with the project initiated by the Youth Forum and financed by the U.S. Embassy in Bucharest, which gave us the opportunity to get a clear view of what we call Democracy.
After getting familiar with the subject, several classes and exercises, the "Civically responsible youth of today, a guarantee for tomorrow'ls democracy" project's organizers thought that we are ready for a tougher challenge.
So, students from the three participating high schools chose subjects for their projects and formed four study groups.
We were all impressed by this manifestation, especially in the end when we could enjoy the fruits of labor, when we made ourselves heard and hopefully understood.
Young people will always build something for their future. It's nice to know that what you are creating is being appreciated. So we want to thank everyone for their support in creating these projects, for offering us a full and exhausting day which will not go by as "just another day", but will be preserved in our hearts forever and remembered every time we say: "I got to take a picture with the president!" and "I got to have lunch at Mr. Taplin's house!".
It's not little. It's actually huge. It definitely is something that will bring us joy for a long time, and maybe when we will be in the Palace or Parliament or Cotroceni not just visiting, we will know for sure what the starting point was for us.
